CMV Fire Rt 136 @ Deer Creek

December 27, 2025

On Saturday December 27th Firefighters from DVFC responded to a CMV (Trash Truck) fire in the Aberdeen Proving Ground Parking lot on Rt 136 in the area of Mt. Harmony Road (Deer Creek). The truck apparently had a malfunction and was left locked in the parking lot awaiting a tow about an hour before the fire started. Darlington and Level Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire. Units were on scene for approximately 1 hour. The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating.
